These franchises usually use one common name like McDonalds which appears to be one huge organisation rather than operating as one single independent business. In order for this type of franchising to become a success, it needs to run what we call a pilot project for a period of 2 years so that initial problems will be solved and anything that hinders it from running good will be removed.

Most experts prefer more than just one pilot run to make sure that that business idea can actually be repeated. The owner of this particular business then goes on expanding the business through opening new branches and selling franchise rights. This is now the start of a franchise operation. It’s where you will come in if you want to start a franchise business.  This franchise operation usually comes with an operating manual and tells the franchisee exactly how to run the business and how things are set up.

All these patterns will be repeated until the franchise reaches the whole nation or wherever it may go. Any problems will be dealt with and solved immediately since different areas have different cultures and means of living. The mother company will adjust to these changes and may amend certain provisions in their franchise policies.

All in all, it’s not that easy to build and make a business strong. Some stores took years for their businesses to be established. That’s the reason why you’d rather have a franchise business than starting from scratch; you’ve got more edge of success until you are trained enough to start your own chain of franchise.
